Prince Charles and Camilla Charm Their Way Through Canada, Pick Up Stuffed Moose for Prince George

Prince Charles is most definitely the proud grandfather to Prince George and could not help but bring him up in a speech about the environment and the future while in Prince Edward Island. The Prince of Wales noted that his grandson has provided the focus needed to enact environmental change for future generations.

"I have long tried to draw attention to this connection (the nexus of water, energy and food security) but it has come into even sharper focus now that I am a grandfather," Charles told the crowd. "It is all our grandchildren who will have to live with the very serious consequences of us believing today that we can simply carry on with business as usual as if nothing has changed."

Charles also bragged about the creativity of youth and what they can accomplish in the future if they choose to act on issues that are affecting them now.

"We can overcome challenges when we bring together the talent and creativity of people. There is so much creativity, determination and conviction amongst young people just waiting to be tapped," the Prince told a group gathered at the Confederation Center of the Arts in Charlottetown after he was honored for his contribution to Canadian Society.

Charles and wife Camilla have been well-received during their short tour of the country. They have had a wonderful time meeting and joking with people. The royal grandparents were given a stuffed moose to take home to Prince George, and Charles delighted photographers who captured him holding a giant mallet and joking that he was just like Fred Flintstone.

"This is what you've all been waiting for," Charles joked while holding the mallet. "That's why they've all come."

Charles and Camilla also visited the local Seaport Farmer's Market and were surprised to see their faces looking back at them in the form of cupcakes.

The pair will wrap up their Canadian tour on Wednesday and return home to London.
