'Property Brothers' Star Drew Scott Brushes Off Hamstring Injury for 'Dancing With the Stars' Performance
Things turned to an early misstep for Drew Scott, as he suffered an injury over the weekend while rehearsing for "Dancing With the Stars" (DWTS). That, however, did not stop him from stepping into the dance floor.
Drew received a score of 21 out of a possible 30, as he and partner Emma Slater pulled off an expressive performance. According to an ABC7 report, Scott also sported a tan, which complimented his rumba performance.
Moreover, Judge Len Goodman commended Drew's performance and called it his best dance, so far.
Last Sunday, the 39-year-old real estate guru suffered a hamstring injury while rehearsing. Scott halted his steps mid-dance as he grimaced in pain, reported US Weekly. "It felt like a knot popped in my hamstring," said Drew. "It felt like a snap, kind of," he added.
Scott tried to regain his bearing as he iced his leg. He said, however, that he doubts if he will be ready for the competition. "Right now I can't bend my leg and put weight on it. I don't know what we're going to do for tomorrow. So annoying," he went on to say.
Meanwhile, E! News noted that injuries involving "DWTS" participants have been a fixture in the series. In the previous seasons, participants like Mark Ballas, Derek Hough, Sharna Burgess, and Normani Kordei all suffered injuries.
Earlier this month, Scott shared in an interview with ET how he was preparing for "DWTS." "I'm excited, I'm nervous, I'm everything," said Drew. "Dancing With the Stars is something we've both been asked to do before but it's finally happening," in reference to his twin brother, Jonathan.
In addition, the realtor also highlighted his dedication in practice, noting that he had already lost a lot of weight. "I'm dedicated. I'm a slim guy but I've lost 25 pounds in the last six weeks," Drew added.
