Randy Travis Arrested While Nude for DWI

Randy Travis has been arrested for a second time after being picked up on suspicion of drunk driving while nude. He was booked for DWI and a "retaliation and obstruction" charge, which is a felony in Texas.

Travis was the only victim in a single-car crash that police responded to. Officers noticed that he was not wearing any clothes, and when he refused to take a Breathalyzer test, his blood was forcibly drawn to determine his blood alcohol content (BAC).

Police have also stated that Travis made threats against the arresting officers, which led to the "retaliation and obstruction" charge. He remains in custody at this time, but this is not the first time Travis had been in trouble for alcohol abuse.

In February, he was arrested for public intoxication after police found him in front of the First Baptist Church of Sanger in the early morning. Police said that Travis smelled of alcohol but was not driving at the time. He was parked in front of the church and had gotten out to walk around with an open wine bottle.

At the time, Travis blamed the incident on a breakup from his girlfriend.

"I apologize for what resulted following an evening of celebrating the Super Bowl. I'm committed to being responsible and accountable, and apologize for my actions," Travis said in a statement.

Travis has had a long career in country music and made the switch to the gospel genre, which led to several Dove award nominations and wins. He has also acted in hits such as "The Rainmaker" and CBS' "Touched by an Angel."

He has been on a 25-year anniversary tour to celebrate his time in the entertainment industry. He has also released a new, 17-track CD in honor of his anniversary; it features original work as well as his favorites such as "More Life," "Surrender," and "He Walked on Water."
