'Resident Evil 0' plus 'Resident Evil' in combo pack of 'Resident Evil Origins Collection'; Official remake of 'Resident Evil 2' confirmed by Capcom's Hirabyashi
After the stupendous success of "Resident Evil HD," Capcom has come up with a new product for gamers to enjoy. This is the "Resident Evil Origins Collection" and it comes after "Resident Evil HD" managed to become one of the hottest selling games on the PlayStation shelf. Capcom obviously wants to repeat this success. The "Resident Evil Origins Collection" is a disc product that contains "Resident Evil 0" and "Resident Evil." "Resident Evil 0" will also be available for digital purchase on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and the PC edition in the first quarter of 2016. The collection itself will be released for the US market on January 19. For the European fans, the collection will be released on January 22. The collection is available for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
What fans will like about "Resident Evil 0" will be the newly incorporated Wesker Mode that will allow players to control both Albert Wesker and Rebecca Chambers. Their outfits have also been spruced up. Wesker has been given the uroboros abilities so that it is not that difficult for those gamers who found the play-by-design difficult.
Fans of "Resident Evil" have been strident in voicing their demand for a remake or a reboot, but Capcom kept silent. Fans went to the extent of making a version for themselves. InvaderGames, a developer group, was working on the fan-developed "Resident Evil 2 Reborn" when Capcom contacted the group and told them that the company was going to make the "Resident Evil 2" remake themselves.
InvaderGames was happy that Capcom had showed interest in its venture. The group said on Facebook, "Capcom called us up in advance of the announcement and asked us if we would mind stopping the project as they had longer term plans for a Resident Evil 2 Remake. They have invited us to a meeting to discuss further ideas."
Fans will be ecstatic to note that the "Resident Evil 2" remake is now official. Capcom R&D Division 1's Yoshiaki "H" Hirabyashi announced on YouTube that they will be going ahead with the remake of "Resident Evil 2."
In the video, Hirabyashi thanks fans of "Resident Evil" for their passion and support. He says that yes, fans have been requesting for a "Resident Evil 2" remake for years now and now that it has been approved, the R & D at Division 1 will start work on the project. He also told fans to expect more from the "Resident Evil" brand and that they will try to deliver the best possible gameplay experience for the "Resident Evil 2" remake. He also mentioned that he would be posting updates on Facebook.
