'RHOA' NeNe Leakes Apologizes for Awkward Speech at Kenya Moore Charity Event

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes has apologized for her behavior seen during a recent episode of the hit reality TV show.

On Sunday viewers saw Leakes, 46, lose her cool at her co-star Kenya Moore's grand masquerade charity ball due to an unresolved feud between the pair.

The event was deigned to raise money for the Saving Our Daughters organization and Leakes, who was made a "guest of honor" by Moore, took to her Bravo TV blog on Tuesday to apologize for failing to put their differences aside for the cause.

"I'll start by saying I apologize for my behavior at the charity event," Leakes wrote.

"I definitely don't want to teach young women that this is the proper way to respond when someone is trying to trick you into a situation and push your buttons," she continued, adding, "I would much rather teach young women to be aware of the wolves in sheep's clothing."

The former friends fell out following a violent brawl involving other co-stars, which occurred at a pajama party hosted by Leakes last year. Moore, who is no stranger to drama, made attempts to mend her friendship with Leakes during Sunday's episode, but her efforts fell flat.

In a bid to make peace, the former Miss USA, 43, invited Leakes to her grand masquerade ball, but the "Glee" actress maintains that she never actually received an invitation.

"Kenya used the charity's name for her own selfish reasons," Leakes said.

"Here are the facts. I never received a call, a text, or an email from Kenya," she revealed before adding "What I did learn the night before the charity event is that Kenya had used a PR Firm to send e-vites to everyone, which is why I didn't see it."

Despite the invitation confusion a reluctant Leakes still showed up to Moore's event, which only heightened the tension between the pair. Viewers saw a visibly irritated Leakes intentionally ignore an upbeat Moore upon her arrival at the ball.

"If she really had pure, good intentions, she could have picked up the phone, called me, and said, "Hey let's put our differences aside for a night of charity!" Leakes wrote.

The drama escalated when Moore put Leakes on the spot by insisting that she say a "few words" to guests. The former beauty queen referred to Leakes as her "good friend" before inviting her to speak, which further upset the actress.

"It's amazing how many good friends I have and don't know about it," a furious Leakes said during her brief speech.

"But I would like to thank Saving Our Daughters which is one of many charities that I work with," she added before quickly handing the microphone back to a stunned Moore and walking away.

Some viewers took to social networking sites to condemn Leakes' behavior while others expressed their support. Moore however described the awkward speech as "pathetic."

"Whatever issues you have with me NeNe, this is completely uncalled for," Moore said on the show. "You make me and yourself look bad, it's pathetic."

Leakes on the other hand openly questioned Moore's motives by recounting her past behavior seen on previous episodes.

"All this charity B.S. is coming from a person that showed up at my charity event last year in a thong and butt pads!" Leakes said. "She even argued outside of Porsha's charity event! She has no credibility when it comes to charity."
