'Rick and Morty' Song 'Terryfold' Enters Billboard's Rock Songs Chart
The success of hit animated series "Rick and Morty" is not only confined to the tablets and TV screens.
In a report by Mashable, the show's song titled "Terryfold" is making noise in the music scene. The song is currently charting on the "Hot Rock Songs" chart of no less than Billboard. The music tabulating authority confirmed the song's achievement via Twitter.
"'Rick and Morty' song 'Terryfold' debuts on Hot Rock Songs Chart," Billboard posted last Friday. Performed by Seattle-based duo Chaos Chaos, the song also features the voice of Justin Roiland, one of the show's co-creators. Roiland also shares his voice as Morty in the animated series from Adult Swim.

The song debuted in a season 3 episode of "Rick and Morty" titled "Rest and Ricklaxation" aired last Aug. 27. It is currently at No. 33, thanks in part to its 1.1 million streams in the U.S. Moreover, it has also earned 1,000 downloads in the week ending Sept. 7.
Meanwhile, co-creator Dan Harmon revealed the true inspiration behind season 3 episode 3. In an interview with Fast Company, Harmon said that the episode was inspired by a "Breaking Bad" episode where protagonists Walter White and Jessie Pinkman were stuck in the desert.
"It was interesting to watch him trapped in a hot van, about to die, and having to fall back on his basic science knowledge to keep them alive, while also seeing what he was like under extreme stress in the hot desert heat," Harmon explained.
The "Breaking Bad" episode put White in a precarious situation where he was left with no other choice but to use his brain. The same thing happened with Rick in the "Pickle Rick" episode where he literally turned into a pickle.
Harmon also detailed how the episode came about. "I think it was a case of somebody just saying, 'What if we started the episode this way, with him turning himself into a pickle?'"
