Sean Penn and Charlize Theron Talking Marriage, Baby?
Charlize Theron and Sean Penn are reportedly hoping to marry as insiders claim the couple are in talks about taking their relationship to the next level.
The pair, who have been dating for eight months, are said to be heading toward an engagement and sources claim they want children together.
Theron, 38, and Penn, 53, have been seemingly inseparable in recent months. The Hollywood actress and actor were photographed together at the Met Gala last month and more recently at the Los Angeles film premiere for "A Million Ways to Die."
"They absolutely want to get married," a source told Us magazine. "They want to grow their family."
Theron, who has an adopted son, and Penn, who shares two children with ex-wife actress Robin Wright, fueled romance rumors late last year when they were photographed vacationing together in Hawaii in the days leading up to New Year's Eve.
Prior to Penn, the South African actress dated Irish actor Stuart Townsend for close to a decade after having met him on the set of "Trapped" and she was also engaged to actor Ben Foster last year. Penn was once married to Wright and pop star Madonna.
In a recent interview with Vogue magazine, Theron confirmed her blossoming romance with the Academy award-winner. She opened up about their close bond to the leading fashion publication.
"Sean and I have known each other for 18 years. We were just really good friends. And it's been slow going because you are aware that you could screw that up and lose it," Theron told the June issue of Vogue.
"We had to think about it. But at the end of the day, it was somewhat effortless," she continued. "The people who really love me can see the effect it has had on me."
In 2010 Theron and the Ambassador-at-Large for Haiti sparked romance reports after they were photographed having dinner in Santa Monica. At the time sources insisted they were just friends.
"It looks serious and comfortable," another insider said of the relationship.
