Spears' Tiny Car Enough to Drive Singer's Success?

Britney Spears is doing her part to be environmentally friendly, driving a Mercedes Benz smart car while trying to navigate her career with continued success.

Despite going through a few personal setbacks, Britney Spears has been at the top of her game. The singer was spotted on Monday cruising L.A. in a white and black Mercedes Benz smart car with her security guard in shot gun.

The singer seemed "at ease" an Us Weekly report stated.

Keeping calm may not be the easiest thing to do right now for Spears, who recently lost her position as a judge on the "X-Factor" and her fiancé, former agent Jason Trawick. But Spears appears to have surfaced from the tide unscathed. The singer's longtime manager announced earlier this week that Spears is due to settle on a Las Vegas show contract soon.

"We are in deep negotiations and I'd be shocked if it didn't happen. Hoping to have a deal done very soon," Rudolph told Extra, although a formal announcement may still be a few weeks away.

In addition, Spears has also been in the studio recording a new album.

"I'm at the studio recording a new song for my boys. They are going to freak out when they hear it. So excited!" she wrote on Twitter.

In December "Scream and Shout" made it to the top of the Billboard digital chart. Spears was also recently announced as the top female earner in 2012. Without releasing a new album or going on tour, Spears managed to earn $58 million from May 2011 to May 2012, a Forbes report revealed.

"Britney has an electricity that connects with audiences on screen and off," music attorney Lori Landew, who helped sign Spears to her first record deal, told Forbes, "and it is that intangible quality that always seems to leave her fans, old and new, breathless."
