'The Good Wife' Season 7 Cast News, Spoilers: 'Smash' Actor Joins the Show's Final Moments
The end of CBS' hit legal drama TV series "The Good Wife" Season 7 is now drawing to a close. However, this doesn't mean that the show will hold back in delivering some huge and surprising developments. In fact, a new cast report came in this week indicating the arrival of a new cast member.
The report from TVLine said that "Smash" star Megan Hilty has been cast for a guest starring role in an upcoming episode of the show.
As detailed, the 35-year-old Broadway staple will appear as Holly Westfall, "a business owner and rival of Diane's (Christine Baranski) husband, Kurt McVeigh (Gary Cole)."

Hilty's fellow Broadway actor in the show is Matthew Morrison who plays as the US attorney Connor Fox.
Meanwhile, cast members have been sharing their experiences working on the show. In his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, actor Chris North, who plays Peter Florrick, said that he really didn't expect for the show to last that long.
"I just thought, 'It's really about her journey as a single woman becoming independent and running a law firm,' but they've managed to remain together," he said, talking about Julianna Margulies' Alicia Florrick.
"It's been quite an intrepid relationship so I've gladly stayed for as long as it lasted. It's provided me with a really interesting seven years," he added.
For the meantime, The Futon Critic dropped the synopsis for the show's upcoming episode titled "Landing." It says that Alicia and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) will travel to Toronto to represent NSA Agent Jeff Delinger (Zach Woods) who, for some reasons, got detained in custom on his way back to the United States. Meanwhile, Diane grows increasingly concerned with Kurt who decided to drop everything to Holly. Peter, on the other hand, contemplates his "uncertain future."
"The Good Wife" Season 7 Episode 19 "Landing" premieres Sunday, Apr. 17 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
