The Perks of POTUS: Obama Reportedly Got Advance Copies of Game of Thrones New Season

Other than the makers of the hit television series "Game of Thrones," it looks like the only one who knows if Jon Snow is really dead is President Barrack Obama. Apparently, show runners David Benioff and Dan Weiss admitted that the President will have access to the new episodes right before the debut of the new season on HBO.

Well, he's the president, and maybe, the events of Season 6 may be a matter of national security!
On a more serious note, both Benioff and Weiss said that the President actually wanted to have advanced copies of the episodes, so they didn't really offer it to him first. Upon learning the request, they were like overawed by it. "I think, for both of us, finding out the President wanted advanced copies of the episodes was an 'ah-ha' moment," Weiss admitted. He said it was strange.

Weiss also said that they had no other option but to say yes because it is Obama, "the leader of the free world."

According to Entertainment Weekly, HBO isn't confirming anything about releasing advanced copies, but it should be pretty interesting if it really is true since no one has been given access, even screeners and journalists. To recall, HBO traditionally handed out advanced screenings to several people for review purposes, but the giant TV network decided to keep everything secret this time, obviously to make season 6 as exciting and mysterious as possible.

However, the admission by the show runners themselves isn't the first time this happened because actor Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth in the series, also said that the President is indeed getting his copies in advance.

Well, it isn't really a big deal if Obama gets to see the new season ahead of others since he's the president anyway, and Jon Snow's secret, along with the consistent twists and turns in the critically-acclaimed show is safe with him, or are they?
