Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 Release Date to Delay till Early 2017

It looks like fans of the hit anime series "Tokyo Ghoul" will once again have to be a little more patient while waiting for Season 3 as rumors have it that the premier date has been pushed back, the reason of which is due to insufficient source material to come up with a good storyline.

And because it's almost halfway through 2016, there no longer is a chance for the new season to air this year. Therefore, it likely will air in early 2017, provided the writers and creators of the series will be able to gather sufficient manga materials to make up one season.

Well, one reason why there's been a lot of delay for season 3 is that there was some criticism in Season 2 after some episodes clearly had redundant scenes, a sign that the storytellers may have ran out of ideas.

Furthermore, there also was feedback that some of the episodes were too much of a deviation to the original material.

Therefore, there is even more pressing need to make sure the scenes of the next season are to stick more on the original source, even if it means airing it longer than expected. But there is little concern about the issue of whether or not there will be a Season 3. The creators know for a fact that they just can't bail out on the sheer number of fans of the series.

Based on the source material, Season 3 of "Tokyo Ghoul will focus on the life of Touka Kirishima, a character whose primary attribute is wearing a rabbit mask in battle. Meanwhile, the manga source is already ahead by several chapters compared to the anime series, but if the creators push for the new season to be aired this year, there's a possibility that the manga version will run out of stories, which means the series and its creators will have no other choice but to create their own content for continuity.
