Victoria Beckham Has 'Guilty' Feeling Over Splitting Work and Parenting
Victoria Beckham is an internationally recognized designer and former member of the hit group Spice Girls, but that does not mean she does not feel guilty when missing parenting moments.
Beckham made the comments on Sunday while addressing the attendees at London's Royal Festival Hall which was part of the Vogue Festival.
"I think you feel so torn, don't you?" Victoria, 39, said about being a working mom. "But I've got great people who handle my schedule and everything does revolve around the children."
"So, if there's a parents' night or an Easter bonnet parade or a nativity play, whatever it might be, then I plan everything around that so I can always be there," she added.
The pop star turned fashion designer also spoke about trying to fulfill her motherhood duties and coping with the responsibilities of her job. She is married to soccer star David Beckham and have three boys and one girl – Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, ten, Cruz, eight and Harper, 21 months.
Beckham did add during the session that her "children are my priority and always have been."
"I'm up early in the morning doing spelling tests and math quizzes before the school run, then up late with a baby and a 14-year-old who refuses to go to bed -Brooklyn."
Victoria's oldest son joined her at the event and she revealed that it's not uncommon to have her children nearby while she works.
"I love having children in the office. Mine are always running around."
"I had one of those swingy chairs for Harper in my office and she'd bounce one way and swing into a roll of fabric and then bounce the other way and crash into a bag of samples."
