2. Christ the King, Poland

Completed in 2010, the Christ the King statue in Świebodzin, Poland, is said to be the largest statue of Jesus in the world. The monument reaches 172 feet tall, including its mound and crown.

The project was led by a Polish priest named Sylwester Zawadski who helped raise $1.4 million in donations from locals to build the statue.

"It was Jesus' idea: I was just the builder," Zawadski said in the past of his reason to spearhead the initiative.

According to Polish news outlet Fakt 24, drone footage spotted that antennas had been installed on top of the figurine’s head in 2018. The outlet confirmed with an expert that along with being a beacon of hope for the people of Poland, the equipment was intended to be used for broadcasting an internet signal as a prime spot to maximize the signals range.
