7 people who wrongly predicted Kamala Harris victory

Martin Sandbu, an author and European economics commentator with the Financial Times, had a column published on Halloween in which he predicted that Harris was going to win the election.   

Sandbu argued that while several polls and prediction models had Trump winning, he didn't believe them, citing the many who prophesied a “Red Wave” during the 2022 midterms.

“I predict that Harris will win, and by a solid margin. Why? Largely because I think ‘it’s still the economy, stupid’ that determines the election — and because I think the strength of the U.S. economy is more appreciated by U.S. voters than the electoral polling picks up,” he wrote.

“In addition, I think the abortion issue that helped Democrats outdo expectations two years ago is, if anything, stronger today.”
