Alec Baldwin's Stalker: 'It Was Love'
The Canadian actress accused of stalking Alec Baldwin has spoken out about her interaction with the "30 Rock" star.
Following Baldwin's allegations that she was obsessed with him, actress Genevieve Sabourin defended herself, making claims that although no evidence remains of their relationship, "it was love."
"I'm not crazy, I'm not a stalker," said the 40-year-old actress speaking to ET Canada. "This is actually what the [psychiatrist's] report said- that I don't qualify as a stalker … How come I have his cell phone number?"
Moreover, Sabourin maintained that she was in a 2-year relationship with Baldwin and contends that she lost all proof of their romance after she blocked the actor on Facebook.
"How come I know he's got a scar, right here, on his bikini line that if round like this, that you've never seen in pictures?" the Canadian star asked via RadarOnline.com. "When I saw that he had begun seeing someone else, I decided to cancel our friendship on Facebook, and because of that I lost the entire content of our conversations."
The actress surfaced in April shortly after Baldwin became engaged to his now-wife, yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas. Sabourin was arrested in New York City on charges of aggravated harassment and stalking after showing up to Baldwin's empty home. She was later arraigned.
Sabourin explained the arrest while speaking to ET Canada, saying that she was only trying to get closure from Baldwin following their break up.
"It was love, for me it was love … I felt it. I don't think it could be a one-way thing," said the actress.
On Twitter, Sabourin rallied her followers to support her as she faces trial in New York.
"I need the charges 2be drop[ped] in this Alec Baldwin case in New York," she posted on Monday. "We were romantically link[ed]. Now I have a trial 4no reasons. Injustice 2me."
Meanwhile, Baldwin has not recently commented on the case against Sabourin, but has complained of stalkers in the past.
"The television crew camped outside my apt said they were with the Today show #howthemighthavefallen," the 54-year-old actor tweeted earlier this year.
"A story about stalking sure brings out the stalkers in the media," he later added.
