Alyssa Milano 'Hurt' Over Jay Mohr's Weight Comments
Alyssa Milano opened up about the "fat-shaming" comment that led to the feud between herself and comedian Jay Mohr this week.
Last month, Mohr took aim at Milano's weight during a radio interview, referring to the actress' "gut" as well as Spandex.
Although the comedian has since apologized, Milano confirmed that his comments hurt her deeply when she learned about them on Christmas Day.

"Well, he made a comment that was not so nice about my weight and I called him out on Twitter about it," the actress told Extra host Mario Lopez. "I just think he was trying to make a joke and not think about it."
Milano graciously accepted the apology Mohr subsequently issued, but the comment had "hurt."
"I was affected by it and wanted to remind him that I'm a human being and that this hurt," she said.
The actress went on to cite society's view on pregnant women relating to their weight.
"I think it's an interesting statement about where we are socially that people feel that they can sort of rip a woman's body apart after having a baby," said Milano, who welcomed a son with her husband David Bugliari in 2011. "I don't think it's fair."
Meanwhile, Mohr's comments during the recent radio interview included his suggestion that Milano let herself go following the arrival of her son.
"She's very tiny, in height… It seems like she had had a baby and said, 'I don't really give a s---,' I read it on her gut," said Mohr.
"Somebody sat in the director's chair was not Spanx and I was like 'Jesus Christ,'" he added.
Upon hearing of the comments, Milano took to Twitter, writing: "@JayMohr so sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me. Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife."
Milano's tweet resulted in Mohr's apology as well as an explanation of his snide comments.
"She's stunning," he wrote on Twitter. "I mistakenly thought the absurdity of what I was saying would have been taken as a joke. #fail"
The "Mistresses" star is not the only celebrity to lament the treatment new mothers receive.
Jessica Simpson, who shares two children with fiancé Eric Johnson, recently discussed the attention surrounding her weight during her pregnancies. The starlet was widely criticized for weight gain while pregnant.
"I think any woman who is pregnant and creating a life is pretty much entitled to eat whatever she wants as long as she's healthy," the fashion designer told Redbook magazine. "I wasn't going to let the media take away what was one of the happiest times of my life."
