Angelina Jolie Takes Up Cooking Classes? Actress Finds It 'Therapeutic'
Angelina Jolie has reportedly taken up cooking classes to boost her skills in the kitchen.
The Hollywood actress, 38, is believed to have started learning how to cook in Australia where she has been directing her latest film "Unbroken." Jolie and her fiance Brad Pitt, 50, share six children Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 7, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 5, who reportedly "want to eat different things at different times," which prompted the cooking lessons, according to Us magazine.
"Angelina took her first ever cooking class last year ... Her lack of cooking abilities was really getting to her but she's finding cooking has become a great therapeutic exercise," a source told RadarOnline.com.
"Angelina gets a kick out of feeding her kids herself and loves the creative side of it, although she admits she's not quite at that stage where she's confident enough to go 'off recipe' and experiment. But she's working on getting there," the insider revealed.
Jolie once boasted that she Pitt cooked their own Thanksgiving turkey for the family during a 2011 interview with Anderson Cooper.
"We were very successful and very proud of ourselves," Jolie told Cooper.
Pitt, who is said to be a fan of Jolie's cooking, is pleased with his fiancé's efforts to improve her skills.
"Brad is so proud of Angelina," the source said. "She never ceases to amaze him with the way she learns new things. And her cooking skill is going to more than come in handy as the kids get older."
Last year reports claimed the couple, who got engaged in 2012, were planning an intimate wedding in France. The "World War Z" actor began dating Jolie in 2005 following his divorce from Jennifer Aniston.
In February 2013 Jolie underwent a double mastectomy which is believed to have delayed their wedding plans. There is currently no wedding date.
