Brooke Mueller Works on Plea Deal to Avoid Jail

Brooke Mueller, who was arrested for cocaine possession and assault while she was at a night club in Colorado back in December, is working on a plea deal that will spare her jail time.

As it stands Mueller, 34, will only have to serve community service and attend drug education classes, but that is not sitting well with the woman whom she allegedly assaulted.

According to Fox 31, last December, Aspen Police officers were conducting a routine walk-through at the Belly Up nightclub on Galena Street when, according police, a woman approached officers to report an assault in which Mueller was the aggressor.

Mueller was arrested on cocaine charges as well as a misdemeanor assault charge. Mueller was charged with allegedly assaulting Liana Little, who claims she inadvertently bumped into Brooke at the night club. After the two exchanged pleasantries, Mueller allegedly hit Little in the back of her head.

According to TMZ, Little explained that she was "furious" about the incident, and she also feels that Brooke should face jail time for the cocaine charges as well as for assaulting her.

Mueller's lawyer is reportedly in the process of working out a plea deal for Mueller, and reports state that jail time in not under consideration.

Rather, Mueller will probably only receive a few months of community service and be required to attend drug education classes. Once completed, her charges will most likely be dismissed.

Mueller's next court date is scheduled for April 2, when the judge is expected to hand down her sentence.

Mueller is the ex-wife of former "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen. When she was arrested police discovered approximately four grams of cocaine.

Mueller had previously entered drug rehabilitation for cocaine use. Sheen filed for divorce from Mueller last February. As Part of their renegotiated custody agreement both are required to pass drug tests, according to media reports.
