Charlie Sheen Ex -Wife, Brooke Mueller, Arrested for Assault and Drug Possession
Brooke Mueller, the ex-wife of troubled actor Charlie Sheen, was arrested in Aspen, Colorado for suspicion of third degree assault and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
Mueller, 34, was arrested early Saturday morning at a nightclub after a woman told police Sheen’s ex assaulted her.
“Officers with the Aspen Police Department were on a routine walk through when they contacted a woman who reported an assault which had taken place”, said a spokesman for the City of Aspen and Pitkin County Police.
Mueller was released from custody on $11,000 bond and given a court date for Dec. 19.
Mueller’s Attorney declined to comment.
Although the third degree assault charge is a misdemeanor, Mueller could face up to six years in prison if convicted on felony drug charges, according to The Daily Mail.
“When someone is found to have more than a certain amount of the drug they are charged with intent to distribute”, an Aspen policewoman said.
Both Mueller and Sheen have had several stints in rehabilitation programs.
In an interview with ABC news in February, Sheen admitted that he “probably took more (drugs) than anybody could survive on.”
“I was banging seven-gram rocks and finishing them, because that's how I roll. I have one speed. I have one gear. Go,” Sheen said.
Two years ago in Aspen, Mueller decided to end her volatile marriage to the actor when he was arrested for assaulting her on Christmas day. Mueller claimed Sheen attacked her carrying a knife. Mueller and Sheen’s divorce became official in May 2011. She has been maintaining custody of the pair’s twin boys.
