Chris Brown Releasing New Song, Video With the Late Aaliyah
Chris Brown recently teased his new single "They Don't Know" featuring the late singer Aaliyah Haughton.
Although Aaliyah died 12 years ago in a plane crash at the age of 22, Brown recently let fans know that he shot a video for a song featuring vocals from her that have never been released.
"I just actually shot a video and the song is dedicated to all my fans. It's called, "They Don't Know" and the song features Aaliyah!," Brown said, according to vibe.com. "Never heard before vocals, all new stuff that has never been heard before, its something special for all my fans."

Brown, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter, recently played the song during a trip to Las Vegas after a performance from Korean pop group T-ara N4.
"So, my new single, featuring Aaliyah, it's called 'They Don't Know'. So we tryna, we might sneak peek it for y'all right now," Brown told a Las Vegas crowd of the single, according to Bossip.com. "Vegas, y'all showed me so much love.. we gonna play it today."
Brown has not been the first artist to use Aaliyah's vocals on recent musical releases. Drake, 26-year-old chart-topping Canadian recording artist , was rumored to be executive producing the late singer's second posthumous album, according to HipHopDx.com last year.
Although Drake released a song called "Enough Said" with the singer, Aaliyah's longtime friends and collaborators Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott and Timothy "Timbaland" Mosley did not approve of the idea of hearing an album full of unreleased vocals from the singer.
"We don't know what her reasoning for not putting those records out. Maybe she didn't feel like they were her best work," Elliot said on New York radio station Hot 97 last year. "We just don't want to tap into that, just spiritually something else you know ... very very touchy. Unless her parents came in and conducted that."
Earlier this year, more unreleased Aaliyah vocals were heard by fans in a song called "Quit Hatin'" that appeared on YouTube with production credits being given to "Knotch."
