CMA Awards 2011: Stars Mock Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber (Video)
Country music stars poked fun at Kim Kardashian by singing an ode to Kardashian’s divorce, and putting in some digs aimed toward the Justin Bieber baby scandal at “The 45th Annual CMA Awards” Wednesday.
The song reworked the lyrics of country music star Randy Travis’ hit “Forever and Ever, Amen,” as seen in the video below.
CMA Awards hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood were joined on stage by “Modern Family” star Eric Stone Street for the tribute song about the trendy topic.
"I think you forget to sing a song about what's weighing on everyone's mind in this room," said Stonestreet as he walked on the stage at the ceremony. "The divorce of Kim Kardashian and what's his name!"
A guitar was revealed and the trio began singing, taking turns with the vocal lines and generating significant laughs from those in attendance.
“I’m going to love you forever - for 72 days, amen,” sang the trio. “As long as Justin Bieber is not a conceiver, as long as Taylor Swift is with her current boyfriend.”
"I'm going to love you for $20 million, for a hit TV series or pics in Us Weekly, for 72 Days, Amen," the trio continued.
Kardashian and Bieber made headlines recently for a series of relationship-related scandals, including Kardashian’s 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries and the allegations that Bieber fathered a child.
The jabs on the pop-culture figures continued when 90-year-old country music star Little Jimmy Dickens emerged on stage dressed as Bieber.
Dickens, in character, said he was on stage to promote his new song “It Ain’t My Baby, Baby.”
“Justin, this scandal has really aged you,” Underwood said. “Like a week ago, you had no wrinkles or liver spots.”
The CMA Awards is the latest broadcast mocking Kardashian and Bieber in recent weeks.
"Saturday Night Live" performed a skit about Kardashian and her sisters last week and poked fun of Kardashian’s recent divorce and the wedding.
