Duchess Kate Phone Hacking Victim, Voicemails Released

Kate Middleton and her brother-in-law Prince Harry are the newest subject in a phone hacking case involving voicemails taken from their cell phones in 2006.

The phone-hacking trial is centered in former "News of the World" editors Rebekah Brooks, Andy Coulson as well as five others accused of a number of crimes, including conspiracy to illegally intercept phone messages.

On Thursday, jury members at the phone-hacking trial heard messages that belonged to the royals which were hacked by Rupert Murdoch's "News of the World." It was the first time the London court heard that the royal family were among the victims of the phone-hacking.

At the time of one message, Middleton was dating Prince William who was in officer training at Sandhurst. According to the hacked voicemail, the prince "nearly got shot" with blank rounds during a training exercise in Aldershot, the BBC reported.

In another message to his girlfriend, William said he was going "beagling," which is hunting rabbits with dogs and later used the pet name "babykins" for Middleton.

"Hi baby, it's me," William began in another message, according to Yahoo News U.K.

In several messages, the prince would conclude his voicemails to Middleton by saying, "Lots of love, I'll speak to you soon."

Middleton and Prince William went on to wed in London in April 2011, and are known today as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

As for Prince Harry's phone, a message left by an unnamed male was revealed. The voicemail is believed to have been an impersonation of Harry's then-girlfriend, Chelsey Davey.

Meanwhile, all seven of the accused in the NoW phone-hacking case deny all charges as the trial continues.

Among the other high-profile victims who fell victim to the hacking include Hugh Grant, Sarah Ferguson, James Blunt- 144 people in total, with more cases expected to come through.

Grant was especially upset by the phone hacks since he had "wrongly mistrusted and avoided friends" after failing to understand how details of his private life came to be published.
