Florida Church Could Be Hiding Casey Anthony
Casey Anthony may be hiding out with the help of a Florida pastor following her July acquittal for the murder of her two-year-old-daughter.
Sources told the Daily Beast that Anthony is living at the Cross Church of Palm City, a secluded community along the central Treasure Coast in Florida.
The entrances to the church compound all bear "No Trespassing" signs across them. Anthony lives, or may have lived, in a ranch style home over a bridge on one side of the complex, sources told the Daily Beast.
Pastor Steve Camp is believed to be acting as a spiritual adviser to Anthony and has given her a place to stay, the news site reported.
Anthony was granted secret probation precautions once she began receiving death threats after a Florida court found her not guilty of the mysterious murder of her daughter, Caylee.
Footage of Anthony's video diary emerged earlier this month, resurfacing the polarizing case. Anthony, whose hair has since been chopped off, talks to a camera about what it's like to have been vindicated and have things like a dog and a computer, to call her own.
"I'm extremely excited that I'll be able to Skype and obviously keep a video log, take some pictures, and [that] I have something that I can finally call mine," said Anthony in one of her eerie videos.
Anthony, 25, never makes mention of her slain daughter in the videos, which soon went viral online.
Anthony is currently on probation for check fraud charges in an unrelated case where she made purchases after Caylee's death with a friend's checking account, Reuters reported.
In September, Orange County Judge Belvin Perry, who also presided over Anthony's murder trial, found Anthony had to repay $217,000 in costs for the investigation into the disappearance of Caylee.
Anthony provided police with false information when it was first reported that the child was missing, leading them on a futile chase at the expense of taxpayers.
Cross Church of Palm City has neither confirmed nor denied the claims, the Daily Beast reported.
