India's model will feature slightly different specifications from the U.S. model as it is one of the few countries to launch the Galaxy S4 packing the Exynos 5 Octa CPU. Most other features are the same including the 5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, 2GB RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The India variant will also run Android 4.2.2, JellyBean and it expected to upgrade to Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie when it rolls out later this year.

India residents will be able to purchase the smartphone through Samsung's eStore along with the company's premium brand stores located in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Customers buying the Galaxy S4 from noon to 4 p.m. will receive all kinds of surprise gifts from the manufacturer. After 4 p.m., all major retailers will begin offering the smartphone in India.

Samsung also struck a deal with the carrier Vodafone that will provide the customers with special voice and data plans. These offers will be available both for prepaid and postpaid buyers. One of these plans is a special all-in-one deal that includes unlimited data, 3000 local and STD minutes, and up to 750 local and national text messages. The company will also offer deals like this on the Galaxy Grand.
