'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Casting News: New Actress Brought On
The HBO hit fictional history drama "Game of Thrones" has recently made yet another addition to their cast. Jane McGrath, an Irish actress, will be joining the cast for season four of the popular show.
McGrath remained rather tight-lipped about her role on the show, but she did confirm she will be on "Game of Thrones" in an interview with IFTN.com.
"At the moment, I'm up and down to Belfast on 'Game of Thrones'. I'm not even allowed to talk to my friends about it and can't be giving anything away! My character is beyond the Wall and it was stunning. When you're on set you feel like you're actually there. It's incredible!" the actress said.
McGrath is perhaps most well known for her role in the Irish car racing movie "Black Ice."
McGrath is not the only recent hire for the hit HBO show. Indira Varma was recently brought on to play Ellaria Sand, according to Entertainment Weekly. It appears that Sand will serve as a romantic interest for Prince Oberyn Martell, otherwise known as "The Red Viper."
Pedro Pascal is also another new addition to the "Game of Thrones" cast. He is the official choice for the role of Prince Oberyn Martell, though the casting decision was not an easy choice, as "Game of Thrones" showrunners David Benioff and Dan Wiess told Entertainment Weekly in an interview.
"This was a tough one. The Red Viper is sexy and charming, yet believably dangerous; intensely likable, yet driven by hate. The boys love him, the girls love him, and he loves them all back. Unless your last name is Lannister. We found a fellow who can handle the job description and make it seem effortless. He wasn't easy to find and he won't be easy to stop," they said.
