Heath Ledger's Treehouse Purchased by 'Hunger Games' Star
Josh Hutcherson of this year's hit film "The Hunger Games" has purchased a treehouse previously owned by Heath Ledger.
The 1,861 square-foot home is surrounded by dense foliage, and therefore referred to as a tree house. Many celebrities have resided in the Hollywood Hills mansion, including Ellen DeGeneres, who Heath purchased the home from in 2005.
Hutcherson reportedly purchased the two-bedroom, 2-bath house for $3 million, according to TMZ. Last September, the home was available for $2.995 million. It is unclear if the 19-year-old paid the full price.

Built in 1951, the home offers incredible views of nature and internal wooden structuring, furthering the "treehouse" effect. Additionally, the secluded hillside location boasts a large deck area with an outdoor screened room, grill and fire pit.
Ledger lived in the California home in 2008 with his girlfriend at the time, actress Michelle Williams.
The Australian actor died at age 28 in New York City in 2008 from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. Ledger left behind his daughter with Williams, Matilda.
Meanwhile, Hutcherson is experiencing an all-time high in his career with the box office success of "Hunger Games." The film has raked in millions of dollars as well as positive reviews from critics.
Recently, the actor was spotted leaving a doctor's office with a bandage over his nose.
"Just had surgery to fix my broken nose," Hutcherson later explained on Twitter. "Recovery sucks."
The movie star was forced to treat a deviated septum after suffering a nose break, Hutcherson's representative told TMZ.
Following his catapult into stardom with "Hunger Games," the actor admitted not much has changed in his life.
"I was expecting it to be a huge difference, and it hasn't been," Hutcherson explained to MTV News. "I can't tell you how relieved that I am. It's been so low-key, and people who do recognize me have been awesome, cool and not crazy."
