HTC M8 Specs Revealed in New Leak, Device to Run Android 4.4 KitKat
Some of the HTC M8 specs were revealed in a recent leak that confirmed that the smartphone will run Android 4.4 KitKat.
The M8, which is expected to be the successor to this year's HTC One will feature a 5-inch 1080p display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, according to a new report from @evleaks.
"Sounds like the HTC M8 is-and you could probably predict-5-inch, 1080p handset powered by KitKat and a Snapdragon 800," wrote the site.
The phone is also expected to run Android 4.4 KitKat straight out of the box with a new version of Sense.
The HTC One packed a Snapdragon 600 processor so the new version will receive a significant upgrade in terms of speed.
@evleaks did not have any other information on the handset available at this time.
The HTC One successor could launch in the first quarter of 2014, according to the latest rumors.
The device is expected to be released on all four major American carriers by the end of that part of the year, according to inside sources who communicated this information with @evleaks recently.
Verizon will be getting a head start with this model as it was the last of the four majors to drop the original One.
A device that could be the successor to the HTC One flagship device was spotted in some new photos that surfaced earlier this month.
This handset said to be the new M8 model appeared in these pictures and featured a design very similar to the HTC One. The images surfaced through a Chinese leaker. @evleaks revealed the M8 codename that exists internally at this time.
The HTC One was originally called the M7 which ran Sense 5, so the M8 will be the first to utilize Sense 6.
