iPhone 5 Release Date: Cheapest iPhone 4S Launching in Hong Kong
Hong Kong will have the cheapest iPhone in the world in November, according to Apple.
Apple’s 16 GB iPhone 4S is regularly priced at $199 with a two-year contract in the United States. However, the 1 6GB unlocked version of the iPhone 4S is much more expensive at $649.
Hong Kong will be offer the 16 GB iPhone 4S for HK$ 4,688, which is only $603 in the U.S.
The Hong Kong version of the iPhone 4S will launch on Nov. 11, along with dropping in 13 other countries.
“Apple today announced that iPhone 4S, the most amazing iPhone yet, will be available in Hong Kong, South Korea and 13 additional countries on Friday, Nov 11,” said Apple in a press release.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 4S will become available on Friday, Nov. 4.
“Beginning Friday, November 11, iPhone 4S will be available in Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, El Salvador, Greece, Guatelmala, Hong Kong, Malta, Montenegro, New Zealand, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Romania and South Korea,” Apple added.
The iPhone 4S is currently available in 29 countries around the world and will launch in 70 more countries by the end of the year.
The newest iPhone was released in the U.S. on Oct. 12. The handset went on to become the highest selling iPhone of all time with 4 million units sold in just four days.
The iPhone 4S is currently available on three of the U.S.’s major networks including AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.
It is also coming to C Spire, a small southern-based U.S. carrier, later this month.
