iPhone 6 Specs: Display to Feature 1704 x 960 Resolution
Apple's upcoming iPhone 6 will feature impressive specs that include a redesigned display with 1704x960 resolution.
This report originates from 9to5Mac who claims that the clarity on the device will receive a significant boost from the current 1136 x 640 version. The display's upgraded resolution will result in 416 ppi for the 4.7-inch model and 356 ppi for the 5.5-inch.
"This means Apple will likely be tripling the aforementioned 'base resolution' (568x320) of the iPhone screen in both directions, and that the iPhone screen resolution will be scaled with an increase of 150% from the current 2x resolution of 1136x640," wrote the publication.

Apple has reportedly been testing these new displays during the past few months, however, that doesn't guarantee that these will be used for the next-gen model as the company frequently works with devices in the preliminary stages that never see the light of day.
The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model could launch as early as August.
Taiwan's Economic Daily News claims that Apple is planning to unveil this iPhone in August and will follow with a 5.5-inch or 5.6-inch model in September. It also states that the company will produce 80 million iPhone 6 units this year and that Foxxconn and Largan Precision will handle the assembling of the camera module.
It looks like Apple might have also finally given into pressure to keep up with Android as the company will implement NFC technology into the next-gen model.
Another report from BrightWire cites inside sources that claim Apple will integrate the technology and also struck a deal with China UnionPay to include its services into Passbook.
Both companies also might work together on a new mobile payment service that can be used for purchases in Apple Stores.
NFC is common among Android devices such as the Galaxy S4 and S5. Apple has never felt the need for the technology until now.
