Jason Sudeikis 'SNL' Departure Confirmed
Jason Sudeikis is ending his longstanding run on "Saturday Night Live," he confirmed this week.
"I'm definitely done," the actor said while on "The Late Show" Wednesday night. "I'm going to leave. I'm not coming back next fall."
The 37-year-old star appeared on "SNL" for over eight years and contributed as a writer for the show years before that.

Furthermore, "SNL" served as a building block for Sudeikis' now-blossoming career in Hollywood. The actor starred in "Horrible Bosses" and just recently appeared in the film "We're the Millers," both roles opposite of Jennifer Aniston.
"It's been really, really amazing," Sudeikis recounted of his time with the hit late night comedy show. "I was very, very lucky."
Sudeikis is not the first actor to exit "SNL" in order to pursue acting on the big screen. Kristen Wiig recently left the show that has also starred Fred Armie, Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
Meanwhile, Sudeikis is engaged to actress Olivia Wilde. It was after a long courtship that the "SNL" star popped the question over the holidays, but despite rumor, the couple will not be marrying in the actor's hometown.
"She has adopted Kansas City," Sudeikis' mother Kathy told People magazine earlier this year. The actor's mom added that she had given Wilde a hoodie emblazoned with the words "I Love Kansas."
However, Sudeikis shot down rumors that he would be tying the knot in nearby Lawrence, Kansas.
"It's definitely not in Lawrence," said the actor, according to the Kansas City Star. "It was never gonna be. I don't know how those things star."
The funnyman continued to joke about the gossip surrounding his wedding plans.
"It'll definitely be a wedding tour," Sudeikis told the newspaper. "Everywhere you've heard that we're getting married, we are. Tour bus and everything. 'Lot of waving. Lot of pie eating."
