Longoria was quick to separate herself from the role Clint Eastwood played during his speech that involved an empty chair last week, and the actress noted that she "come[s] from a very different place" than the elder actor.

"It was interesting, yeah, but I haven't seen the whole thing so it's not fair for me to judge it," said Longoria of Eastwood's remarks while talking to CNN's Piers Morgan.

The Texas-born Latino actress will speak in Charlotte on Thursday, the same night Obama is to accept the nomination.

Alba and Longoria were just two of the many Hollywood stars attending the political convention this Year. Other leading ladies included Elizabeth Banks, Kyra Segdwick, and Sarah Jessica Parker, while "Scrubs" actor Zach Braff and superstar Mariah Carey were also present.

Moreover, A-list actresses Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman are rumored to appear at the 2012 DNC. The Foo Fighters are also expected to perform at the event.
