Kate Middleton Parenting George in as 'Normal Environment as Possible,' Rules Out All Overnight Trips
Duchess Kate Middleton and Prince William want to keep their son Prince George's life as normal as possible and are trying to do all their parenting themselves, using nannies only when necessary.
"Kate doesn't want George to be more used to the sight of the help than to his own parents," an insider told Us Weekly of the royals. "George has given a whole new meaning to Catherine's life."
Even though the royal couple has hired a housekeeper and nanny, they are determined to do as much parenting as possible. The Duchess has rules for her schedule and parenting, which includes her not having any overnight trips and remaining close to London to be near George at all times.

Of course, this breaks with normal royal protocol. Royal mothers have a history of being distant; the late Princess Diana was one of the first to break protocol when she took the boys out of the Palace and to "regular" places like a waterpark, McDonalds, and exposed them to people not from their social standing.
Kate and Will are determined to keep that tradition going, but taking it even further. They have already proven to be hands-on parents determined to do as much as possible in their own way.
"They look at their friends and see how they have managed raising a baby while having careers," the insider added. "They don't see why it should be so different for them. The goal is to keep a normal environment around George."
So far the royal couple has only been on a few official visits without baby George; normally one or the other is home with the baby. The two have expressed their desire to parent George and expose him to as many things as possible, including a trip abroad to Australia and possibly Africa at some point.
Many fans have applauded the royal couple for their hands-on approach and credit Diana with breaking royal tradition and exposing William to a different way to be royal.
