Katy Perry 'Proud' of Ex-Husband Russell Brand
Katy Perry has displayed no hard feelings against Russell Brand since their split last year, and is even "proud" of her ex-husband.
On the 10th anniversary of Brand's sobriety, his former spouse reportedly congratulated his personal feat.
Perry, 27, sent the English actor an email saying how "proud" she was of him and that she is "finally healing" from their divorce, a source told the U.K.'s The Sun.

"Although they've broken up, Katy knows how important this milestone is for Russell," said the insider. "She wanted to let him know that she was thinking of him and that she was still proud of what he has achieved."
Brand is very outspoken about his past with drug addiction and even documented it in a television broadcast entitled "Russell Brand: From Addiction to Recovery."
The actor noted his 10th year of being sober on Twitter last Thursday.
"10 years clean today," wrote the 37-year-old comedian. "Thanks for all your messages of love. Thanks @schullerinc for the film. Anyone can get clean, one day at a time."
Perry and Brand ended their 14-month marriage in December last year. In a statement released at the time of their split, Brand noted his regard for Perry.
"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage," said Brand. "I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."
Furthermore, Brand revealed his sentiments in several interviews, revealing that he has "only love" for Perry.
"I still love her as a human being, but sometimes when you're in a relationship, I suppose it doesn't work out, does it," Brand asked Ellen DeGeneres during a televised interview earlier this year.
"But that doesn't mean I regret it or anything," the "Get Him to the Greek" star continued. "I was very happy to be married with her. She's such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her."
Meanwhile, Perry was reportedly heartbroken by the divorce.
Around the time of the split, the "Part of Me" singer posted a message about happiness to Twitter.
"I am so grateful for all the love and support I've had from people around the world," wrote Perry. "You guys have made my heart happy again."
Today, the singer has been photographed several times with John Mayer.
