Kenya Moore Apologizes to NeNe Leakes
Kenya Moore, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" television personality and former Miss USA, is apologizing for not attending fellow cast member NeNe Leakes wedding and explaining why she was not present at the recent ceremony.
Leakes, the 45-year-old Hollywood actress and cast member on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," remarried ex-husband Gregg Leakes last month. The nuptials took place in Atlanta, Ga at the InterContinental Hotel in a $1.8 million event.
Although Leakes and Moore have expressed a fondness for one another on their show, the latter explained why she did not attend her friend's wedding.
"I didn't go to NeNe's wedding. I was in Africa at the tie," Moore told theGrio.com recently. "I don't think she's too happy about that."
Still Moore insisted that she let Leakes know about her prior engagement and would make up for her absence.
"NeNe, I love you.. You know I will send you the most incredible gift. I will buy several things on your registry, and have them special delivered," Moore said in theGrio.com report. "You know I love you, and I appreciate you, and I really am sorry I wasn't able to make your special, special day."
While it is unclear whether or not Leakes has accepted Moore's apology, the latter seems to believe that she will be scrutinized by her fellow cast members.
"I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of heat when I'm in the midst of a lot of these women," Moore said in theGrio.com report.
Still, Leakes said her ceremony was much better than the first time she married Gregg.
"Both of us want this, so it will definitely work this time. I know exactly what I'm getting myself into," Leakes told Life & Style magazine recently. "It was more romantic this time than the first, Gregg and I are real adults, so it was better."
Leakes walked down the aisle with her two sons, Brentt Leakes and Bryson Bryant. The moment was a special one for the reality television star.
"That was so emotional for me," Leakes told Life & Style. "And Gregg telling me I was beautiful - that was really special. I had a lot of teary moments."
