Kim Kardashian Divorce: Khloe Kardashian's Marriage Going Strong as Big Sister Stumbles
As Kim Kardashian continues to answer questions concerning her widely publicized marriage, which lasted for just 72 hours, little sister Khloe is celebrating her 2-year wedding anniversary with NBA star Lamar Odom and the couple is apparently still going strong.
Many believed that after just a few weeks of dating that Khloe and Lamar's marriage was doomed to failure, but the couple has proven the naysayers wrong and seem to be happier than ever. The reality TV star released an anniversary statement to her husband in September:
"Two years ago today I married my best friend and the love of my life. WOW. Can you believe it’s been two years?! 730 days, and I still feel like a newlywed, I still blush when my hubby says my name, and I still get giddy when he's about to walk in the door. I truly am the luckiest girl in the world and I count my blessings every single day."
The couple along with family members took to Twitter to express well wishes.
Khloe Kardashian: "What an amazing way to start your day! So much love everywhere today! #KhloMar2Years"
Lamar Odom: "2 years down and an eternity to go. Even in the after life there will be Khlo and LO. #KhloMar2Years"
Kim Kardashian: "Look what @RealLamarOdom just sent me & @KourtneyKardash! ... BestBrotherInLaw #FAM4LIFE!!!" Kardashian said this in relation to a photo of roses she published to TwitPic.
Kourtney Kardashian: "Happy Anniversary to one of my favorite couples @KhloeKardashian and @RealLamarOdom. You guys believe in love and live by it. Love you both!"
Regarding the constant storm of criticism being showered on Kim, due to her filing for divorced from former New Jersey Nets basketball player Kris Humphries, Khloe commented to her sister on her Twitter page: "Thank God for family. We are strong and we will only become closer. I love you."
Even though Kim's marriage ended after a brief time, Pastor Joel Johnson, the pastor who presided over her wedding with Humphries, has stated that he believes the couple’s intentions were genuine.
"I feel for both of them. I think two of the hardest things to deal with are wealth and fame and they have both," Johnson said. "I knew it would be a challenging one for them. So many people condemned the wedding before it happened saying it wouldn’t last. But when I spoke to Kris, I knew where his heart was and I said I wanted to meet Kim personally. I was totally impressed with Kim."
