Kim Kardashian Gun Picture Drawing Ire From Twitter

Kim Kardashian is drawing the ire of some people on Twitter after she posted a photograph of a diamond encrusted handgun that left people criticizing her stance on gun control.

Kardashian may be a 32-year-old reality television star, but various people and media outlets reacted after she reportedly posted an Instagram photograph of a pistol before deleting it. One month ago, Kardashian took to her Facebook page to ask people to sign a pledge to reduce gun violence in the wake of the Newtown, Conn. elementary school massacre that left 26 dead.

"Today, people in Newtown are making the Sandy Hook Promise to reduce gun violence," Kardashian wrote on her personal Facebook page last month. "Sign the pledge with me at http://www.sandyhookpromise.org/."

While The Sun was one of the publications to report that the reality star had given fans a glimpse of the fancy pistol before taking it down, a number of people took to Twitter to speak out about the matter.

"Stupid, shallow and selfish," one person tweeted in anger.

Another person attempted to figure out Kardashian's logic for allegedly posting an image of a handgun by tweeting, "oh maybe 'kill me with diamonds that'll be better' lol. I follow Kim because of lot of things but I hate this pic."

However, other people thought that Kardashian was anything but stupid and was well aware of the backlash that she would receive after posting and deleting the photograph.

"Kim Kardashian makes mistakes. She doesn't make publicity mistakes," the person tweeted. "Gun-grabbers beware. She understands America better than you."

Still, others thought Kardashian had a right to post an image of a gun if she chose to.

"Ladies, there is NO SHAME in owning a pretty gun," one person tweeted.

Kardashian has yet to respond to any of the criticism that she has received from social media network users concerning her reported posting of a handgun.
