Kim Kardashian 'So Blessed' for Pregnancy
Kim Kardashian has confirmed that she is expecting her first child with Kanye West hours after the rapper first announced the news.
West initially revealed the baby news onstage during his concert Sunday night in Atlantic City, but Kardashian added her own words on Monday.
"It's true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby," the 33-year-old reality television star posted to her blog. "We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us."
Kardashian's father, attorney Robert Kardashian, died in 2003; while West's mother, Dr. Donda West, died in 2007.
Despite the loss of their loved ones, Kardashian added her optimism for the future.
"Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family," the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star wrote.
During Sunday's concert, 35-year-old West told a crowd of over 5,000 fans of Kardashian's pregnancy by adding lyrics to his song "Runaway."
"And now she's having my baby," sang the rapper as the audience erupted into cheers.
Then, on the last song of the night "Lost in the World," West asked the audience to applaud his "baby mama."
West and Kardashian will both become parents for the first time with the arrival of the baby, and the mother-to-be is reportedly around 12 weeks pregnant. Their child will join cousins Mason and Penelope Disick- the children of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick.
Furthermore, the child will add to the large Kardashian clan, including Kardashian's siblings Khloe and Robert Jr., as well as half-siblings Kylie and Kendall Jenner, and many more.
Twitter was flooded with well-wishers once the baby news was announced on Sunday, including messages from celebrities as well as friends and family of the couple.
Meanwhile, Kardashian has still not finalized her divorce from NBA player Kris Humphries.
