Kim Kardashian's Parenting Skills Slammed by PETA
Kim Kardashian is being slammed by PETA once again, and this time they are questioning her unborn child.
Kardashian, the 32-year-old reality television star due to give birth to rapper boyfriend Kanye West's baby in July, has been pictured with garments containing materials that resemble fur recently.
Wendy Wenger, a spokesperson for the animal rights group PETA, recently spoke up to Radar Online about the impact that Kardashian's wardrobe choices could have on her future children.
"Children of greedy, self-absorbed parents could follow their lead or they could break away and be alienated from and disgusted by them," Wenger told Radar. "Kim is a commodity; she is paid to wear things like fur, a particular makeup, or to shake hands with questionable people, so she is not a good example to a child or anyone else of how to show a social conscience."
While Kardashian's younger sister Khloe Kardashian-Odom has participated in anti-fur campaigns, Wenger told Radar that she hopes that will be an influence for the future offspring of West.
"Youngsters naturally identify and empathize with animals – so even though Kim and Kanye will undoubtedly serve as poor examples when it comes to kindness toward animals, perhaps their child will take after aunt Khloe and choose kindness by rejecting fur," the animal rights activist continued.
Last year, Kardashian drew the ire of animal rights activists which resulted in her being flour bombed at an event and people protesting outside of the family's DASH boutique. However, Khloe insisted that she and her sisters have taken some responsibility by selling faux fur at their stores despite their individual personal choices.
"Kardashian Kollection & K-DASH are faux fur lines and has been since the moment we created them," Kardashian-Odom tweeted last year. "DASH has been fur free for a while now."
