Kris Jenner Pressures Scott Disick Not to Enter Rehab?
Kris Jenner is reportedly urging Scott Disick not to enter rehab and is convinced that he can successfully tackle his drinking issues without the extra help despite the pressures of reality TV.
Jenner, 56, is said to be pressuring Disick, 29, the boyfriend of her daughter Kourtney Kardashian, and father to her grandson, not to seek professional help despite his drinking often leading to destructive behavior. It has also been alleged by Hollywood Life that she could be against him entering rehab because Disick's problems with alcohol may boost ratings.
"Kris thinks reality TV is the best remedy for Scott's drinking issues. She doesn't think Scott needs to go to rehab because his problem isn't that severe," a Kardashian family friend told HL.
"She thinks that by Scott talking about his feelings in front of the cameras, that it's like therapy. And yes, Kris does think his issues make for good TV," the source added. "She says she exposes her own weaknesses in front of the cameras, so why not all the others family members and boyfriends and husbands? She thinks it's very therapeutic!"
Disick, who is expecting his second child with Kardashian, 32, often insults the Kardashians when he is intoxicated while filming their E! reality TV show. He has also previously become violent which led to him being hospitalized with an injured fist.
His on-going battles with the bottle have become a recurring plotline on the reality TV show, with Kardashian often reduced to tears over his drunken antics.
Disick is not the only one who critics insist needs rehab. Jenner, the Kardashian matriarch, left viewers stunned during a recent episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" after engaging in dangerous behavior while under the influence during a family trip to The Dominican Republic.
Upon arrival, Jenner was told that she had a surprise to which she was heard responding, "I think I need a yellow drink for that!" while reaching for what appeared to be a cocktail.
Later she decided to drive a jet ski after consuming a fair amount of alcohol, which was much to the dismay of her daughter Khloe Kardashian, 28.
"My mom is really nuts. I don't think you're supposed to operate vehicles or heavy machinery once you're heavily intoxicated, and this b---- just decides to get on a jet ski with her prized possession on the back, Kim [Kardashian]," a concerned Khloe said.
Despite growing concerns that Jenner may have a drinking problem, as Disick allegedly does, she has not publicly addressed the criticisms.
