Man Falls to His Death at Turner Field During Atlanta Braves Game

A man attending an Atlanta Braves game at Turner Field died when he fell 60 feet from an upper deck platform into the parking lot on Monday night.

The man has been identified as 29-year-old Ronald Homer, reported NJ.com.

"At this time there's no indication of foul play and the fall appears accidental," John Chafee, a police spokesperson, told the New York Daily News. "It appears he fell from an upper-level platform to a secured lot below."

Police were notified around 9 p.m. last night that a man fell roughly six stories into a secured parking lot.

He did not die at the scene, but succumbed to his injuries while Atlanta Medical Center.

Witnesses told police the incident appeared to be accidental, with no foul play involved. It is unknown whether or not the individual was intoxicated.

The Braves and Philadelphia Phillies game was in the middle of a rain delay during the time of the accident.

This is the third time a sports fan in Atlanta has fallen from the stands in about a year, reported the Daily News.

A man fell and died at a college football game last August, and another man fell in September but was not seriously injured.

2008 marked the last time someone fell at Turner stadium during a game against the New York Mets, and at the time reported it was the first non-medical fatality at the ballpark.
