Motorola Droid RAZR Comes With Loads of Accessories
Motorola's newest smartphone, the "Droid RAZR", will come with a host of options for external accessories.
These accessories are sure to add to the current power and capabilities that already come packaged with the "Droid RAZR."
One of those accessories is the "LapDock", along with Motorola’s webtop app that turns the smartphone into a laptop when it’s docked. Motorola’s "Lapdock 500 Pro" or "Lapdock 100" can both be used as docking station for the Droid RAZR. Users will then be able to watch movies, play games, edit documents, and browse the web via the full desktop version of the Firefox browser.
Users can replicate the feeling of viewing content on a larger laptop-sized screen through these docks.
Motorola’s "HD Dock" or "HD Station" will be able to connect to an HDTV, speakers, and other productivity peripherals or large screen entertainment devices.
Once it’s connected, Motorola’s "Smart Controller" accessory can be used as a remote control to easily navigate through the smartphone's interface on any HDTV. Zoom, pinch, and rotate multi-touch capabilities can then be used.
The Smart Controller even enables users to take and make calls with the smartphone remaining in the dock.
A GPS navigation dock, an extended battery pack, and a Bluetooth keyboard can also be utilized by the Droid RAZR.
There’s also the Motorola "ELITE SLIVER" Bluetooth headset. This headset can pair with the device for easier, hands-free talking.
Sanjay Jha, Motorola Mobility CEO, revealed the Droid RAZR yesterday. Verizon Wireless will be the sole cellphone carrier that will sell the device.
Pre-orders for the Droid RAZR begin on Oct. 27 and the device will hit Verizon Wireless stores in November.
In other parts of the world, the smartphone will be called the "Motorola RAZR."
The Droid RAZR will be Verizon Wireless' second dual-core 4G LTE smartphone that boasts more power, faster speeds, and a thinner form factor than most smartphones.
It is said to be even better than Apple's iPhone 4S.
