Nexus 5 Specs Leaked in Service Manual

A service manual for the upcoming Nexus 5 smartphone leaked earlier this week revealing information on the device such as specs and other features.

The document was posted by an anonymous user on the digital library known as Scribd and it is purported to be the service manual for the LG-D821 which is the possible model number for the Google powered handset. It features diagrams, technical information and confirms many of the recent rumors regarding specs for the device.

According to the document, the new Nexus 5 will feature a 4.95-inch Full HD IPS display, a Snapdragon 800 processer that clocks in at 2.3Ghz, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB of storage, 8-megapixel rear camera with OIS, 1.3-megapixel front camera, 2300 mAh battery, NFC and Slimport compatibility.

Dimensions for the handset will be 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1mm and it will weigh approximately 139 grams. It will feature sensors such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and pressure.

The manual is only a draft so there are a few inconsistencies with previous rumors. For example, the device is said to be compatible with Bluetooth 3.0 and not Bluetooth 4.0 and Bluetooth LE. The dimensions listed are also the same as those found on the Nexus. Aside from those couple of tweaks, everything else in the manual seems legitimate.

There are also some body images that come with the document. The device in those pictures seems to have a similar design language with the current Nexus 7 with the Nexus logo going across the device horizontally. This confirms that the handset will be made by LG.

The document is 281 pages in all and can be viewed here. The Nexus 5 handset is expected to be officially unveiled in the coming weeks.
