Nexus 7 2 Cases Released by Google, Accessory Retails for $49.99
Google released Nexus 7 2 flip cases this week which can be used to protect the screen on the device.
They retail for $49.99 and come in a variety of colors including red, white, black and blue. This is the first case designed by Google specifically for the Nexus 7 and it is made to fit the exact specifications of the device, according to the company.
The new flip case comes with a build-in stand that makes it more convenient to type and watch a video with the tablet. It also has a tiny Google-colored flag on its edge to remind users of its compatibility with the Nexus 7.
Despite its high price tag, the case is believed to be high quality. There are several other cases on the market at this time sold for under $10, but they are not officially made by Google.
The Nexus 7 tablet is made by Asus and was released shortly before the summer of this year. It is the successor to last year's wildly popular tablet with the same name.
The 2013 version of the Nexus 7 features a 7.62mm thick frame, a 7-inch LCD IPS display with 1920 x 1200 resolution at 323ppi, a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Adreno 320 graphics, 2GB RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front shooter, dual stereo speakers, Bluetooth 4.0, and 4G LTE connectivity.
The tablet also introduced Google's latest OS Android 4.3, JellyBean. The display on the Nexus 7 is 1080p which makes it the first Full HD 7-inch slate. The device's virtual sound technology is also quite impressive, as it gives you a 5.1 surround sound experience by using headphones or built-in speakers.
