No Doubt Comeback After 11 Years, New Album Announced

Gwen Stefani and her bandmates in No Doubt have announced that they are releasing their first new album in eleven years.

According to the band's official site, the album's title will be "Push and Shove" and is due for release in September, while a new single off the album, "Settle Down," will be released on July 16.

"Hope you are sitting down because we've got some really big news to share with you," the online statement reads. "While adding the finishing touches to our new album we realized it was time to name it… So we did, and the name is… (drum roll please)… Push and Shove!!!!"

No Doubt formed in Anaheim, Calif. and consists of Stefani as vocalist, guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal, and drummer Adrian Young. Past albums include diamond-certified "Tragic Kingdom," "Simple Kind of Life," and "Rock Steady."

"Push and Shove" will be the group's sit studio album.

"We also want to let you know that the first single from Push and Shove will be Settle Down," continued the statement. "We'll be filming the video for it this week [without] longtime friend and collaborator Sophie Muller."

Muller, who directed No Doubt's 1990 hit song "Don't Speak," has also worked with Sade, Shakira, Garbage, and Annie Lennox.

"Very exciting," the group added. "We can't wait to share it all with you. See you out there soon."

The group also recently announced a set of upcoming live performances in support of the new album, such as at the Teen Choice Awards, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," and "Good Morning America's" Summer Concert Series, all scheduled to take place in July.

When a Twitter user asked about the sound of their new album, guitarist Dumont posted, "Ska reggae dance rock electro anthem ballads, all of it!"

No Doubt will- no doubt- be welcomed back to the music community with open arms. The ska and reggae fusion with punk rock and pop has earned the group number one spots on Billboard's Hot 100 as well as two Grammy Awards.

Their hit singles include "Just a Girl," "Ex-Girlfriend," Underneath It All," and "Simple Kind of Love," among others.

Frontwoman Stefani is married to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, with whom she shares two children.
