Real Housewives of Atlanta News: Phaedra Parks Reveals Why She Is Silent About Drama

Phaedra Parks, an Atlanta attorney and cast member of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," may be revealing why she has been tight lipped about her family's affairs that have caused speculation in recent months.

Although numerous news outlets like BET.com are reporting that Parks and her husband Apollo Nida are ending their marriage, the pair have yet to confirm a separation or divorce. While Nida has been dealing with alleged bank theft and identity fraud charges, Parks recently spoke to "Good Day Atlanta" about why she has remained quiet about what is happening in her home.

"A lot of times we're divulging too much information about everything. You go somewhere and people are telling you about their very intimate surgical procedures," she told Good Day. "I don't want to know that you've had things removed, you've had things added. It's just certain things that should be a secret. I just don't want to hear about all that stuff."

However, Parks did take time to address a storyline that has taken over season five and six of her show, the series' beauty queen Kenya Moore text messaging her husband.

"Textgate happened in 2012; it's 2014 and they are still trying to run that storyline," Parks told "Good Day Atlanta." "Unlike some of the other ladies, my life is very full. So, I don't have to talk about something from two years ago and obsess with foolery."

While Parks did not divulge any real details about her marriage, she did speak about the importance of motherhood in her life.

"At the end of the day, I'm a mom first," Parks said on the show. "I love my two sons; they're just my angels."

Parks previously admitted that marriage is not easy.

"Marriage is tough," she told S2S magazine last year. "The more time you can spend with your spouse-definitely quality time-it sorta makes it a lot better and hopefully it creates more intimacy in the relationship."
