Ringo Starr Announces New Tour, New All Starrs

Ringo Starr, the Beatles' drummer, has announced new members of his All Starr Band lineup as well as the dates for his new tour.

Newcomers Gregg Rolie and Steve Lukather will join Starr as well as returning band members Richard Page, Mark Rivera, and Todd Rundgren on the road.

The tour supports Starr's new album "Ringo 2012" and kicks off in June. The former Beatles drummer began touring with the All Starr Band in 1989 and has included countless musicians in the ever-changing crew.

Former All Starr Band members include Joe Walsh, Levon Helm, Jack Bruce, John Entwistle, Sheila E. and Paul Currack.

New addition to the band Rolie was formerly the leader vocalist in the original lineup of Santana, and in 1973 he co-founded Journey with Neal Schon. He left Journey in 1980.

The band sings a combination of songs from Ringo's solo career as well as Beatles classics. Concert goers can expect to hear songs such as "It Don't Come Easy" and the Beatles' hit "With a Little Help From My Friends."

The Ringo Starr Band has 24 scheduled dates in U.S. cities but will add more in coming weeks, according to the press release.

Fellow Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney has been reported to be headlining Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee celebration this summer. The extended weekend event will take place June 4 to honor the queen's 60 years on the throne.

The singer will be joined by Elton John, Shirley Bassey, and boy band JLS. Old favorites Cliff Richard and Tom Jones will also take the stage, according to The Associated Press.

The concert will take place in public areas in front of the palace and will be broadcasted on television and radio channels. Some 10,000 tickets will be award by lottery as the queen and husband Prince Philip plan to attend, as well as other senior members of the royal family.
