Samsung Galaxy S3 to be Waterproof?
There is strong possibility that both the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the next-generation iPhone will be waterproof smartphones when they are released in the later part of 2012.
The proof behind this theory is that both Apple and Samsung are looking into a new waterproofing technology called HzO.
What HzO does is create a nano-scale film barrier with a special water repelling properties that is applied to the inside of a device, with those two companies specializing in smartphones.

Instead of creating a case or sealant, this technology will be applied to the smartphone during the manufacturing process making it waterproof as soon as it is taken out of its box.
This technology was created by a company named ZAGG that introduced it at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. ZAGG demoed it by using devices with HzO applied to them previously and dunked them into a fish tank full of water. The technology allowed them to continue to work despite the fact that they were literally swimming with the fishes.
ZAGG is hoping to sign big deals with all leading manufacturers, according to a report posted by Pocket-lint. The company did mention that they were in the process of signing deals with a major smartphone partner and headphones maker in the near future. "We showed the Samsung Chairman the technology with a Samsung Galaxy S that we had coated with HzO and he couldn't believe his eyes," said a company representative to Pocket-lint. "Samsung is really excited by the tech."
ZAGG also stated that they are in talks with Apple in hopes to make future versions of the iPhone waterproof. "We expect HzO to be in next season's phones," said a ZAGG representative.
