Samsung to Launch 8 New Android-Powered Devices in 2013

Samsung plans to release 8 new Android-powered devices this year in order to meet the needs of each market segment.

The company has been using this strategy for a few years and has been pretty successful with it.

Samsung recently announced a slew of mid-level Android powered devices that it will release later on in the year. Those devices include the Galaxy Frame, Galaxy Pocket 2, Galaxy Star, Galaxy Young, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Fonblet 5.8, and Galaxy Fonblet 6.3. The company is also planning to release another special device called the HomeSync, however, not much information is available on it at this time.

Many of these new handsets will make their debut at Mobile World Congress 2013 set to take place next month in Barcelona, Spain.

The most anticipated Samsung smartphone, the Galaxy S4, will not make its debut at MWC, according to reports.

YouMobile.org has confirmed that the smartphone will not be unveiled at the event. The site also stated that the Galaxy S4's codename will be SGH-I337. The global version of the handset is expected to be part of the GT-I950X model number family. Samsung has reportedly made the decision to release a full HD smartphone on AT&T, which will most likely be the Galaxy S4.

Samsung has really high hopes for the Galaxy S4 and was recently in the news for saying that its goal with the device is to sell 10 million units per month.

A South Korean publication called Money Today reported the company's plans earlier this month. It claims to have obtained its information directly from Samsung and also reported that the company has already hired subcontractors to produce about 10 million Galaxy S4 models per month.
