Selena Gomez Thinks Justin Bieber Relationship Was 'Toxic'?
Selena Gomez, the 20-year-old actress and singer who parted ways with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, reportedly looks at the 19-year-old Canadian crooner as toxic.
Gomez may be looking for an older romantic interest when she's ready, according to Perez Hilton.
"Selena is looking to date an older man this time. She finally realized how toxic it was to date a toddler like Justin," the source reportedly said in a Perez Hilton report. "Selena is doing really well and feels like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders now that Justin is out of the picture. She finds Justin to be embarrassing since their breakup."
Bieber may not have been the right person for Gomez.
"He's turned into exactly the kind of person she'd never want to be with," the insider continued.
Gomez opened up earlier this year about enjoying her life after reports of her ending a highly publicized relationship with Bieber in the beginning of this year.
"I've been recording, having a lot of fun with my girlfriends, having a good time," she told E!
While Gomez is readying an album, she did not seem ready to share if Bieber inspired any content on her upcoming project. Instead, she spoke about enjoying her ability to express herself in her latest musical effort.
"I'm having a lot of fun expressing everything that I'm feeling," Gomez told E!
However Gomez seems to be ready to move on from her past, and spoke about shedding the Disney channel image created when she took on a lead role on the network's "Wizards of Waverly Place" television show.
"I've been telling people I'm definitely a little bit more sassy now," Gomez told E! "I'm a little bit more mouthy."
The actress said some fans may be surprised to see her in an edgier role when she appears in the upcoming movie "Spring Breakers."
"I think people are used to seeing me in a certain way," she said. "I think it will be a little shocking for people, but in a good way. The movie as a whole is a lot to take in, and I've definitely expressed that to my younger fans."
