Super Bowl 2012 Picks: Celebs Weigh In

Super Bowl XLVI will play out this Sunday, but plenty of celebrities are already making predictions about who will win in 2012.

The New York Giants have the edge in celebrity predictions, with support coming from Maya Angelou, Haley Joel Osmont- who has successfully predicted 11 of the last 12 Super Bowl winners- Joan Jett, and Rudy Giuliani, though no one expected anything else but support from New York's former mayor.

Political commentator Keith Olbermann has thrown his hat in the ring with a vote for the Giants as well.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Don Rickles, and John Kerry have gone against the trend and are siding with the New England Patriots. Even Barry Williams and former rap artist Vanilla Ice have joined the Patriots' support team.

Comedian Phyllis Diller told reporters that she chose the Patriots because of Tom Brady. "He's hot stuff. The whole season I've liked the Patriots' linebackers. They really danced."

Penn and Teller, magicians who have participated in celebrity predictions, frequently also support the Patriots. "But, five minutes before kickoff, Rob Lowe announces Eli Manning's retirement," the pair joked.

Octavia Spencer, fresh off her win at the Screen Actors Guild, predicted that the Giants will also be winners. "It's a rematch that's sure to have a different outcome," she stated.

J.K. Simmons of "The Closer" is rooting for the Giants because he "basically roots for whatever NFL team has the most Buckeyes, and the Giants have Jake Ballard at tight end and Jim Cordie on the O-line last time I checked."

Placido Domingo has voiced his support for the Giants, while actress Jenna Fischer has sided with the Patriots. "This pick is based mainly on the fact that my husband is from Dallas. We are Cowboys fans and we don't root for the Giants. Unless we are rooting for them to lose! Go Patriots!" cheered Fischer.

Rev. Pat Robertson gave New York the edge over New England. "I just think Eli Manning will be more comfortable in Indianapolis," he explained.

Brad Pitt, however, again refused to choose a side in Sunday's game. "Oh, that's a tough one," Pit commented.
